Every transport company claims national coverage. The useful question is what that means concretely - which corridors run daily, which are scheduled, and what happens to a load that has to cross a border. Here is what our coverage actually looks like from the Dar es Salaam base.
The Domestic Network
Dar es Salaam is the hub: head office, depots and terminal access in one location. From there we run scheduled routes to Dodoma, Morogoro, Arusha, Moshi, Mwanza, Tanga, Tabora, Mbeya and Dodoma, with industrial zones and mining corridors served on scheduled and on-demand runs. Route frequency is set by demand, so the busiest corridors run daily.
Cross-Border Corridors
Transit movements run into Zambia, the DRC, Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda. Cross-border fuel movement is the most document-intensive work in the operation - customs clearance, transit documentation, bonded arrangements and corridor permits all have to be correct before the vehicle loads, not at the border. A missing document at a crossing costs days.
"Cross-border delays are almost never caused by the vehicle. They are caused by paperwork that was not verified before loading."

Live Tracking, Not Blind Delivery
Every vehicle carries GPS, and fuel tankers carry fuel-level telemetry as well. That means the control room can see position and estimated remaining volume, and can pass that to the customer rather than waiting to be asked. It also means losses and diversions are visible in minutes rather than at the delivery note.
Route Planning Around Reality
Approved routes account for road condition, axle limits, bridge restrictions, seasonal closures and, in heavy rain, roads that become impassable. That last point matters more than it sounds - a schedule that ignores it produces missed deliveries that no amount of driver effort can recover.
What to Ask a Provider About Coverage
Ask which corridors are scheduled and which are best-effort, what happens when a vehicle fails mid-route, who handles customs for cross-border moves, and whether tracking is available to the customer or only to the operator. Straight answers to those questions are a better indicator of coverage than a map with a shaded region on it.
